About MindChamps Early Learning & PreSchool
Tucked away on Floribunda Rd, our MindChamps @ Kemps Creek is a true reflection of what the area has to offer. With an oversized outdoor space, generously sized rooms and plenty of parking our Kemps Creek childcare centre is full of rural charm. Our educators focus on creating calm and inviting play spaces for our preschool and early learning Champs to play, learn and thrive.
What’s on
Communication is key for the educators and families of Kemps Creek. The team know that leaving your Champ at childcare can be difficult which is why they value open, honest and frequent communication with families through the day. At Kemps Creek, we are family – from strong Champ/ educator relationships all the way through to sharing home recipes for our chef to cook for everyone.
Meet Our Director – Courtney
Courtney has been working in the Early Childhood Education and childcare sector for 8 years. She studied her Diploma of Children’s Services and loves her team @ Kemps Creek. She is especially proud of the genuine relationships her educators have with the families and the team at MindChamps.
Our Learning Programmes
Our MindChamps programmes are based in Australian research and were created for the children of the 21st century. Using Crafted Play, our Kemps Creek Champs engage in a variety of structured and child led learning experiences. Our environment is split into 6 distinct learning zones, created with the children to reflect their learning.
Early Learning
When young Champs are given the opportunity to guide their own experiences, they become excited about education. Our learning programme embraces the Champs’ interests and skills, utilising the learning potential in everyday activities. Utilising Sensory, Motor, Intellectual, Linguistic, Emotional and Social aspects of play, we teach our Champs about themselves and their place in the world around them.
Preschool Curriculum
In addition to our early learning programmes, our preschool curriculum incorporates the MindChamps break through Reading Programme. Through theatrical strategies, our reading programme has been developed by experts to encourage a love of reading and storytelling. With Australia’s low early literacy rates, we are barracking back to foster a connection with the written word which will benefit our Champs for the rest of their lives.
The 3-Minds Approach
Just as the Froebel and Montessori approaches were developed in the 19th century and the “Thinking Curriculum” of the Waldorf-Steiner and Reggio Emilia methods were products of the 20th century, the MindChamps Preschool’s 3-Mind Approach is an education model developed in response to the 21st century. Our unique pedagogy is based on The Champion, Learning, and Creative Minds.
The Champion Mind teaches children resilience and the ability to overcome adversity and thrive.
The Learning Mind concentrates on teaching children HOW to learn and not WHAT to learn.
The Creative Mind nurtures our Champs abilities to think outside of the box and see the world from multiple perspectives.
Combined, our Champs are equipped with the tools they need to flourish in the unknown future that lies ahead.
Something Special
Our Kemps Creek service are passionate about animals and teaching our Champs about caring for the earth’s precious inhabitants. Charlie the Horse and Opal and Latte our lambs live at the Kemps Creek service and the Champs adore taking care of them as part of their day.
