Designed by internationally renowned author Brian Caswell, our writing programme breaks down the barriers often associated with writing. With a unique set of stimuli and tools at his/her disposal, your child will be empowered to enhance his/her writing abilities and enjoy the writing process from the start.
The framework and strategies used in our writing programme are set to complement the primary school English curriculum, so your child will be able to apply what he/she learns in his/her schoolwork. With the guidance of our enrichment educators, your child will grow in confidence in his/her academic and creative writing.

Programme Overview
Our writing programme’s curriculum caters to children from Year 1 all the way to Year 5. Classes for each level run over four 10-week terms, with each lesson lasting 2 hours. A commitment to the full 10-week programme is important to cultivate the necessary habits and skills that will help your child express himself/herself creatively in his/her writing.

One of our writing programme’s key highlights is the MindChamps Writing Toolbox, which helps to develop your child’s passion and confidence in writing by working on the following areas:

MindChamps Reading
Sparking a passion for reading builds a foundation for which future writing and comprehension skills can be built upon. Raising a child to love reading will develop comprehension skills and confidence in reading tougher texts. Instead of traditional focus on memorising words, our reading programme prioritises developing your child’s 3 Minds (Champion, Learning and Creative). The skills developed from our MindChamps Reading classes include an inquisitive outlook that seeks to understand information and the capability to think creatively to imagine different perspectives and new ideas. These strengths will prove to be advantageous when your child moves on to expressing himself/herself in creative writing.
